Cred ca in ultimele 3-4 luni am trecut aproape mereu dintr-o accidentare in alta.
It seems like this was the year of the fitness competitions, but also the year of the injuries. I think that for the past 3-4 months i’ve kept going from one injury to the another. I feel like by the time one healed, i kept getting another. Sprained ankles, knee injuries and it felt like i could never get back in shape properly even if i’ve still been consistent with going to the gym even if i’ve been doing different stuff lately. Because of the injuries i feel like i missed out on this year’s T Gym Superfit Games, which i could have attended if i really wanted to, but i wouldn’t have done great. So when Satu Mare Winter Games by CrossFit Satu Mare first showed up in my Facebook feed i tried not to bring my hopes up in case something else happened to me.
And guess what… of course i got injured again :)) A weekend prior to the games we went skying and i fell and injured my knee quite a lot. It has been almost a month since then and it still bothers me quite often. The competition was supposed to take place on Saturday but on Monday and Tuesday i couldn’t even walk and Wednesday and Thursday i was at the doctor getting an X-Ray and MRI to see exactly what the damage was 🙂 It turned out that it wasn’t so bad: (google translate is my friend with this so don’t judge)
And because you know me, i can’t stay still, i got some bad-ass knee guards and i decided to attend the event. I got really lucky and i didn’t injure myself any more and i even managed to rank second, even if i was really careful with every step that i took and i was a bit limited in my movements and technique.
Even if the competition was easier than the ones in Cluj sau Timisoara, it doesn’t mean that we didn’t enjoy it or that we didn’t have fun. The events were well thought out and the judges were really fair. So thank you CrossFit Satu Mare and we will see you again at the next edition.
