Prima oprire a fost Cracovia in mica mea drumetie.
As did many romanians, i decided to take advantage of the extended weekend around the 1st of December and do a little road trip to Poland. It was for quite some time on my travel wishlist but either i didn’t have enough money to be able to go, or time, or some other trips simply had a higher priority. But since i didn’t have any other plans for that weekend i decided to take advantage of the free days and do this little trip. Some might say that the period that i chose to go wasn’t the best due to the fact that it was almost always snowing, but those of you who know me already know that i love snow, so it wasn’t really an issue 🙂 And a plus side of choosing to go when i went was that there weren’t so many tourists, which i also noticed in Warsaw.
So the first stop on the road trip was Krakow. Since i had quite limited time to spend there i didn’t get to do and see a lot but i still really enjoyed it. I strolled along the Main Market Square where there was also a small Christmas Market and also the Wawel Square, i got to go to “Lost souls alley” which i highly recommend, but in general i just strolled around and took lots of pictures. I had one full day in Krakow and the next morning after breakfast i headed towards Auschwitz. But more on this in my next post.
