We decided to take advantage of the extended weekend for the 1st of May and celebrate in advance our two year wedding anniversary in London. I kept wanting to go there for a long time and it simply was not the time until now. We always had other trips or we couldn’t go because we were low on money at the time.
Also, as a side note… i know that my hair color is not so great right now. I am transitioning from red to a grey blonde and my hair was bleached only a week before going on the trip and it was not looking like it should… so ignore it in the pictures 🙂
We left for London on Friday after work and we got at the flat at 23:30 due to some delays to our flight. The owner must have not been to excited about this, but what can you do.. We were obviously exhausted that night and famished, but we couldn’t wait for the morning to start exploring.
We decided to have the first and last day to visit the outdoor attractions because that was when the weather was expected to be sunny. The second day we went to the Science Museum, The Shard and the Imperial War Museum and then we wandered around the streets randomly. In our third day we went to Madame Tussaud’s and Harry Potter Studio Tour and in between we wondered some more.
About Harry Potter Studio Tour, what can i say… i felt like a child… i was so excited by everything i saw there and i think that the tears started pouring a few times :)) I think i read the books at least two times, i saw all the movies at least twice… and simply just walking around and seeing everything there: from the sets, the props, the costumes… it got very emotional for me.
Obviously by the time we got home each night we were so exhausted that we barely could climb the steps to our apartment 🙂 But it was all worth it and i am glad that we went.
I hope you like longer posts… and prepare yourselves.. there are a lot of pictures in this one 🙂
